Conveniently order from 150,000 articles with a few clicks while on the go – this is what Version 9 of the Winterhalter + Fenner App provides. Articles are loaded onto the mobile device with all available catalogues during the installation process and compressed so that the files only take up minimal storage space. The shopping cart can now be filled online or offline without waiting times. And the new version makes ordering even more convenient and efficient.
The app provides many new and enhanced features as order process and user-friendliness have been completely improved. “We deliberated with Winterhalter + Fenner in Switzerland and decided that it is more practical if article images are displayed significantly larger and possible alternatives, accessories or replacement articles are already shown in the article lists. Our partners from ieffects once again developed a great solution,” explained Simon Andres, project manager and e-commerce manager at Winterhalter + Fenner.
“For us, it was especially important to expand the offers of the e-commerce app and make it even more user-friendly – i.e. quicker and more intuitive – since the app is especially used by customers who are away on a job or installers who are showing solutions to customers and storing these solutions temporarily so as to order them later,” as Andreas Unseld, project manager at ieffects stated.
Obvious recognition of discontinued articles – fast retrieval of replacement articles:
Discontinued articles are continually shown but displayed as “no longer available” (see Fig. 1). These articles are recognizable by the missing price, a grey lock and the link to the replacement article. The respective replacement article is displayed with article details (see Fig. 2) when the discontinued article is selected.
Saving time and costs with optimized logistics:
Due to the assignment of “home warehouses” and “replenishment warehouses”, the article details (Fig. 3) already inform the user of available quantities for the desired article and from which warehouse it will be supplied. The view Availability (Fig. 4) shows detailed warehouse inventories – a special service for customers who want to order large quantities or collect the ordered items themselves.
