Half-way through the financial year, Zurich-based ieffects ag can look back on a successful first half and anticipates further interesting e-commerce projects that are in the pipeline. The increasing demand for B2B e-commerce apps is also reflected in the increased number of employees: ieffects’ team of specialized developers continues to grow.
“The increased number of orders in the first half of 2018 was a challenge. Our team has mastered it professionally and done an excellent job,” said Christina Eggel, ieffects ag Chief Operations Officer, of the interim results. “We have successfully launched a large number of e-commerce apps and also started to develop more innovative shopping apps. We are especially proud that our customers value our expertise and recommend us to others.”
One of the special highlights in January was the go-live of another food service app commissioned by Gunterswiler AG from Frauenfeld in Switzerland. The Gunti app allows restaurateurs to order fresh produce with just a few clicks. As the app also runs offline, orders can easily be entered in the cold store. Customers have access to their favorites and order lists as well as to the entire range at any time. In addition, they always stay informed about products, seasonal highlights, and current promotions.
In March, the Sonepar Hungary wholesale app followed: with this high-end, offline-capable wholesale app for electrical materials, customers can now also order directly from Sonepar Hungary. The project was completed within just three months to the full satisfaction of the client.
Almost at the same time, Sonepar Germany added two new extensions to its already well-established app: in early May, the Sonepar Shop and the Sonepar Scanner were launched.
For WS Weinmann & Schanz GmbH from Germany, a completely new shopping app was developed, which will be released shortly. Weinmann & Schanz is a renowned mail order wholesaler for the sanitary, heating, and air conditioning sector with a product range of around 70,000 items and more than 500 employees.
